Berrian Joins Peterson As Vikings Speed Towards Playoffs
On Friday night, Bernard Berrian was pulled over on Minnesota Interstate 694 going 104 mph in a 60 mph zone.

This is the second outstanding speeding ticket given to a Minnesota Viking after star running back, Adrian Peterson, was pulled over going 109 mph in a 55 mph zone. The Minnesota State Patrol has been about the only thing to stop the Minnesota Vikings so far this year. However, this close to the playoffs, Viking fans are trying to deny what these speeding tickets might be implying. Sure, it might not be the Anderson Miss of '98 or the Cardinal Catch of '03, but it still could prove to be a bad omen for the Vikings dream team of '09.

The Vikings have been charging towards a strong playoff showing ever since they signed Brett Favre during the storyline of the season. The defense has been solid as it usually has been for the last few years, but the offense has been the real catalyst. The addition of Favre has led to the breakout of Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin, but the Vikings two biggest offensive weapons from last year, Peterson and Berrian, have been left out in the cold.

So maybe the lack of attention has finally gotten to the two veterans. Maybe they have finally decided that if Favre isn't going to give them attention, then they will get their attention by going fast without a football in their hands. The Vikings can only hope that the attention getting tactics will stop soon, and in order to do such a thing, the Vikings will alter their game plan, which brings us to this weeks fantasy impact.

The Vikings coaching staff sees that, just like neglected children, Peterson and Berrian are acting up to get attention. So in order to prevent more outrageous tickets or god-only-knows what else, the Vikings are going to throw last years studs a few bones. Look for Peterson to have a season high in carries on Sunday night against the Cardinals. While Berrian on the other hand, will be getting an abnormal amount of attention from Favre. Coach Brad Childress can only hope that this will quench the appetite of his attention starved athletes, and not continue to curse what has been an untouchable season so far....so far.
