In my league we only get 6 players on our bench. Is Ryan Moats worth the pickup?

Steve Slaton was benched last week after his fifth fumble of the season. It is obvious that Coach Kubiak is sick of the lack of production he is getting out of Slaton. Now comes Ryan Moats. Moats put up 126 yards for 3 touchdowns while averaging 5.5 yards a carry against a Buffalo defense that really is not as bad as you might think. The Texans have been inconsistent all season and Slaton has not proven that he is not a big reason why. So definitely expect to see Moats continue to get chances to prove he should be the feature back. I would say definitely pick up Ryan Moats if you can, running back depth never hurts and the Texans proved last season that they can definitely help a running back to some pretty gawdy stats.

Of these running backs which two would you start: Slaton, Moats, Jacobs, Bradshaw, Wells?

Well, I would say you definitely have to start one of the Giants backs. As much as New York has been on a skid, they should take care of business with San Diego fairly early in the game which means they will probably opt for the safer option of running towards the end of the game. The Chargers run defense has been surprisingly good, they have only given up 100 or more to one rusher this season, and that was when Steeler's Rashard Mendenhall torched them for 165. I think that Bradshaw runs more like Mendenhall than Jacobs does, so I would start Bradshaw here.
For the second spot, I think you have to take a risk and start Moats. Even if he doesn't have the same big game as last week, Slaton is still way to inconsistent, scoring only two touchdowns this season. Coach Kubiak will trust Moats style and ball control down on the goal line more than he will Slaton. If I had to guess, I would say that Slaton won't get any carries in the red zone on Sunday. It's not like Wells is a horrible option either, it's just that the Cardinals run game is such a non-factor in their game plan right now. Last week against the Panthers the entire team only rushed for 94 yards with the lone rushing touchdown going to Hightower, so I would say give your two spots to Ahmad Bradshaw and Ryan Moats
